malleswaram: Malleswaram Mirror Special: Around Town: Confluence of classical music

Presented by Bhoomija Trust and in association with Taneira, ’Triveni’ is geared up to be a musical evening that will feature internationally acclaimed artists Ustad Zakir Hussain, Vidushi Kala Ramnath, and Vidushi Jayanthi Kumaresh.

The event will take place on December 17 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall from 7:30 pm.

Tickets can be purchased on bookmyshow and are priced from Rs 500 onwards.

The word ‘Triveni’, which means ‘confluence’, refers to the coming together of the tabla, violin, and the veena in a celebration of classical music in India. It will also be a celebration of the confluence of Carnatic and Hindustani traditions. After extensive tours in the US and a unique show in Singapore, Triveni is about to grace India for the first time.

Want to party on the 31st floor while some experts play good techno behind the turntables? Head to High Ultra Lounge tonight at 8 pm.

The night will start with city-based DJ Monovid playing a set till 9:30 pm, after which Ricky Bahrey will take over to create some magic. The main act is from 11 pm when Milan Jain takes over the turntables. The event will be brought to you by Glowleaf Entertainment.
