Now this is what we call dressing on theme.
On Wednesday, Kevin Hart and Carmelo taped an episode of Hart’s SiriusXM podcast “Gold Minds with Kevin Hart” in Miami Beach—and both of them pulled out bold gold watches for the occasion.
Anthony, who retired from the NBA earlier this year, was all smiles during the conversation—and why wouldn’t he be? He paired a multi-colored checkered cardigan over a yellow t-shirt with navy shorts and Nike kicks. The former Lakers forward completed the look with an 18-karat rose gold Rolex Day-Date 40 whose chocolate dial is accented by Roman numeral indexes. While Rolex no longer offers the Day-Date 40 in this exact configuration, a buy pre-owned version is asking $48,799 at Chrono24.

Hart, meanwhile, chose to make even more of a statement in a Thom Browne sweater covered with bright yellow birds and bees. He paired it with khaki pleated trousers, Puma sneakers, and a pair of black sunglasses. Hart topped it all off with solid gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch, a piece of horology that reminds us the comedian is serious about his watch collection. Although AP is no longer producing the 39 mm, a pre-loved doppelgänger is available here for $118,450.

Season one of Hart’s podcast focused on spotlighting comedians including Jerry Seinfeld, Hasan Minhaj, Tiffany Haddish, and Margaret Cho. Season two sees the actor “sitting down with the best minds in entertainment, art, business, and culture,” according to Spotify. So far, the Jumanji and Night School actor has hosted chats with names such as Paul Feig, Gabrielle Union, Anderson Cooper, and Black Panther producer Ryan Coogler this season on what it takes to navigate their careers and become “the gold standard.”
News that SiriusXM signed Hart and his entertainment company, Heartbeat, to a multi-year deal made headlines in March 2023. In an interview with The Associated Press at the time, Hart said, “When you put yourself in a position to create partnerships that will last and can grow, those are big wins.”
