Australia’s Stephanie Jones is a relatively new name in the classical guitar world but she’s already blazing a trail for herself.
As a kid she played many instruments before settling on one to focus on and excelling Stephanie Jones is a world-renowned soloist and chamber musician who specialises in her studies at Australian National University and the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar. (She’s currently based in Germany, where she teaches.)
Jones has released three solo albums since 2009, as well as one with the Weimar Guitar Quartet in 2019, an does concert tours, festivals and master classes all over the world. Now the Cleveland Classical Guitar. Her program mixes music by living composers, including a couple under 30, with pieces by J.S. Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Antonio Carlos Jobin.
