Blue Beetle is set to hit theaters in 2023 on August 18.
Staring Xolo Maridueña of Cobra Kai fame, the film follows Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate who returns home with endless aspirations for his future, only to find that things aren’t quite how he left them.
Jaime is searching for his purpose when fate steps in and unexpectedly gives him the Scarab, an alien artifact.
Jaime becomes the ancient artifact’s host. He is given incredible abilities and an armored suit that allows him to channel them.

Who is the composer of this score?
As well as the film’s extensive list of Latin American-inspired songs, Blue Beetle features an original score that is the work of composer Bobby Krlic.
British singer The Haxan Cloak has released 2 solo albums, and is becoming more well-known in the film industry.
Krlic wrote the soundtracks for Netflix’s Beef series and Beau Is Fearful in early 2023.
Other projects that have been completed include Midsommar (Snowpiercer), Triple 9 and Red Dead Redemption 2 video games.
Bobby Krlic’s score for Blue Beetle will be released alongside the film itself on August 18 and will be available to stream via the likes of Spotify Apple Music is available on both iOS and Android devices.
