The Weeknd Shares John Lennon Cover And Jennie From BLACKPINK Collaboration From The Idol Soundtrack

The Weeknd has released more music from his HBO series The Idol.

The Canadian megastar has been steadily unveiling new music from the series’ soundtrack, with the latest instalment of tracks led by an ominous, synth-led cover of John Lennon’s Jealous Guy.

There’s also a new song called One Of The Girls featuring co-star’s Lily-Rose Depp, who features as pop singer protagonist, Jocelyn, and Jennie from BLACKPINK, who plays a backup dancer for Depp’s character. Finally, there’s Fill The Void, which allows Depp’s vocals to shine over minimal production.

The tracks arrive after episode three of the series, following the previously unveiled Family, Devil’s Paradise, World Class Sinner / I’m A Freak and the show’s instrumental theme, The Lure.

Previously he shared Double Fantasy with Future and Popular featuring Madonna and Playboi Carti. The series’ official soundtrack album, ‘The Idol, Vol. 1’, is due out next Friday (June 30).

Earlier this month, The Weeknd kicked off the UK and European leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour in Manchester. It’ll continue tomorrow (June 24) in Amsterdam, with two huge gigs at London’s Stadium Olympic Park scheduled for July, with the trek set to wrap up at Wembley Stadium on August 18. The tour supports his last two albums, 2020’s ‘After Hours’ and 2022’s ‘Dawn FM’.
