Commissioners rave about city’s work on Kevin Hart Shows; see what new Civic Center could bring to the city | WDHN

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan city commissioners were raving about Friday’s performances by Comedian Kevin Hart.

Hart performed two shows in the Circle City at the Dothan Civic Center.

After each show, there were long lines, but commissioners say that workers made sure to get guests to their seats before Hart took the stage. Each commissioner thanked Clay Dempsey and his team for putting together the event.

The event also opened the eyes of commissioners to what a new civic center would mean to the city.

“It was a tremendous job by Clay Dempsey, shuffling everybody in and out.” Dothan City Commissioner, Bradley Bedwell said. “It really shows the reason we need a bigger facility for that type of event because if it wasn’t managed to a tee it wouldn’t have worked.”

Another big name coming to the Circle City this summer will be Kevin Gates, who will perform at the Tristate Mega Show on July 29 from the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.
