Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Mozart wrote his final instrumental composition, his Clarinet Concerto in A, for the basset clarinet of the time which was darker-toned and pitched lower than today’s modern clarinet. You’ll hear that concerto performed on a modern reconstructed basset clarinet for today’s Midday Masterpiece.
